The ornamental water gardens are planted with a variety of shrubs, perennials and water-loving species, and of course, contain the famous wishing well.
The springs that rise up at the foot of Friar Waddon Hill on the edge of the village are the life source for the abundant plant species and vegetation in the gardens. This water also feeds a series of ponds and waterfalls, which are home to our resident family of ducks (and one lonely moorhen!)
Wander around the garden pathways or pick a scenic spot to sit and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the gardens. Before you leave, don’t forget to make a wish at the Wishing Well! You can find out more about the history of the well
